Colors
She pulls flashing flames of color
into her fingertips,
tries to tame the universe
with ghosts that dance in the raindrops
Explosions of the secrets
contained in a kaleidoscope,
hues delicate as printed paper,
intoxicating as sunlight on her shoulders
She harnesses the clash
of the icy shivers and the tongues of fire,
eyes flickering with blinding white clouds,
hair glittering black as onyx
And the shards of sun
drenched in red and blue
pierce her lungs,
force open her eyes
She floats headfirst
into the sunset horizon
and rides the color wheel
into a world all her own
