Walk in my shoes
Walk a day in my shoes,
Look through my eyes as if you could feel each step I take.
Feel the rough material of my black and pink converse,
Rubbing against your ankles as you walk in my shoes.
Each step, leading, showing, teaching you,
What it’s like to live my life.
Walk a day in my shoes,
And see why I’m so quiet,
See why I call myself a ‘shadow’,
Hiding in the darkness like it’s the safest place
For me to be.
See why I enjoy just listening to music
Instead of talking to everyone I see.
Walk a day in my shoes,
And see why I enjoy the night time,
When everything is dark and quiet,
Understand why I like the peace and quiet of night.
