It's Raining
Let you and I walk
Towards the same dirt trail
an old timey stop.
Where you and I
met above the clouds
at one of life’s crossroad.
And bathed in summer showers.
No money for gas,
or food,
or rent.
As we shared a cigarette.
In a world painted with
a palette of aluminum foil.
We danced.
In the sound of rain.
In the sound of sadness.
Forgetting the colors
that once painted us.
