the feeling haunts me
plagues me
it’s supposed to be beautiful
how can something so pure and sweet
be wrapped in a casing of
razor sharp thorns
everytime we touch
im supposed to
expected to
feel lightning
shockwaves through our tender colliding
skin
but all i feel is knives
lightly poking at the surface
threatening to cut deeper
is this just the beginning
when will the love arrive
