Reflections of Us
When I look in a mirror,
then I see myself
as a reflection,
but at the same time
I only see the glassy surface.
But as I look at the mirror,
I don’t pay attention to it
but only to the mere reflection of myself.
We as humans pay attention to what catches our eyes,
leaving something important behind.
In life, we see all that we want to see,
but do we see what is behind it all?
