It will be okay
The words flew from her mouth
  They hit like daggers
  Sharp and unfriendly
  They stabbed into him
  Making him cold and rigid
His words flew back at her
  And hit with equal force
  Tears flooded from her eyes
  And made him blurry around
  The edges
  She had started this all
  The war
  The conflict
  The pain
That was all her doing.
  Warm arms wrapped
  Around her
  Holding her and taking
  Away the pain
Her small hands held his tightly
  As they cried together
Letting all the pain and hurtLift away
  Lift away into the cloud’s
And wait to come back some other day
  Never today
  They kissed and without
  Using words
  They knew what each other
  Was saying
  Quietly and
  Without a look
Back they crept into the shadows.
