The "Great" Cycle
You are Birth
You take us from the safe quietness of a mother’s womb
And shove us into Reality’s grasp
And Reality, you are Life
You treat us well
Seeming as if everything is peaches forever
And just when we’re used to you
Then BAM!
Tragedy helps you strike us down
Again and again, over and over
Pummeling us into the dust
Until we just lay down and surrender
And this is where we end
You are Death
You cradle us in your embrace
Telling us it’s okay
Life is finished with us now
And you carry us to a peaceful eternity with you
Forever
