Shrines of Regret
You’re not deserving of me
When you hurt everything
I’m uncertain of things
like the birds and bees
We could perch on a branch
Behind curtains we danced
Now you don’t search, nor you plan
out the words that you speak
You just curse and repeat
Scatter dirt, and don’t sweep
Want the world with an ease
You can’t earn. Only cheat
I would drag and defend
for us to last til the end
Your “friends” would laugh and pretend
then stab your back with a pen
Now the ink in ya bones
will sync to your phone?
As you type and you tweet
But I get rings to the tone?
Still we moved too fast
that I could hardly see ya
From neutral to gas
Seatbelt glued to my chest
Now its zoom, boom, and crash
like onomatopoeia
I lost everything
that I could hope to be
I took a sword to swing high
Like I was born in shanghai
So when I’m gone, hang my shrine
of leaves and potpourris
