Night Predators
Harsh winds whispered through the night,
the pale moonlight illuminating my face.
I wandered past clusters of trees,
feeling out of place.
Silent predators hid in the bushes,
waiting for prey to come.
Eyes that are watching me,
or ignored by some.
The ground covered in a blanket of white mist,
concealing twigs that appeared like a snake.
The setting sends a chill up my spine,
I ran quickly, dreading this mistake.
