Favorite Quote:
Have courage and be kind.

You were held hostage
By an ocean
If lost thoughts
And memories
The disease slowly
Took you from me
And over time it took you of
Yourself
You forgot what your name was
Where the kitchen was
You forgot to turn off the stove
Then you forgot my name
It looked as if the
Light
Was sucked right out of you
There was nothing left of you
But
Your cold hands
And
Your eyes screaming for help
I looked into your eyes
And I saw
Darkness
I saw the real you
Trapped
Inside a body
That was no
Longer
Yours
I saw my grandmother
Teaching me to sew
I saw my grandmother
Solving her crossword puzzles
I heard my grandmother
Humming gospel songs so softy
I miss her hug
And
The kiss on the cheek
I miss her smile
God how the smile lit up
My heart
There a sweater hanging up
In my closet
Abandoned
Full of tears
I can not bring myself
To put it on
For it's the sweater I wore at her
Funeral
I haven't mourned yet
For I still
Believe
You are
Not gone
You were gone a long
Time ago
You are gone, but you are
Everywhere
You are the butterfly flying
Across my path
You are the sunlight
Beaming through the
Cloudy days
You are the rainbow
After the rain
You escaped the disease
That trapped you
You ran away from
The disease that kept
You
Your heart radiated
Off love to everyone
Who
Met
You
You lit up every room
You walked into with
A gentile smile
And hello
Your hugs made you feel
Loved
She was the light in
This
Dark
World.
