It all seems to have happened before,
A monster taking over, not obvious until after.
It may seem normal, average,
There is far more to this beast.
Thinning the line between black and white,
No thinking in between allowed,
Punishing those who do,
Striking fear into others, causing submission.
Dream of Mirrors hinting to times of old,
The exploitation of Roman law and following assassination.
This monster believes extreme fear guarantees his rule,
As he won’t make the mistakes of the past.
Then proceeds to invade at worst times,
Underestimating enemy forces and surrounding environment.
Unable to deal with reality,
The demon sends himself to the afterlife,
Hoping his soul will fly and live forever.
