Though Ethereal, I care still
You,
bright moon at night,
shining sun at day,
to which the stars are no sight
Your hair,
river glowing in the darkness,
flowing no matter the distance,
covered in the smoothest of varnish,
Your eyes,
black opal pearls,
hidden from me,
Like a beautiful rose, they curl,
when You smile,
the crescent moon gleams,
a reflection of the star spotted sky,
the sun surrounds Your cheeks, a beam,
of light on,
Your skin,
marble in the Pantheon,
standing in day, in night,
at dusk or at dawn,
But I know,
it will fade like halcyon days.
You will shine brightly,
only a little while longer,
Your hair will flow black,
only a little while longer,
Your eyes will reflect hope,
only a little while longer,
Your smile will gleam,
only a little while longer,
Your skin will stand alone,
only a little while longer,
Yet I will love,
You,
for a little while forever,
You,
not for who You were,
You,
not for who You will be,
You,
as You are,
You.
