Destruction and fear
Our souls attuned,
Within our darkest desires,
As destruction holds out her callused hands,
With a unwitting smile, we take her hand.
Shuddering and fearing,
In our darkest memories,
Tracing our tears.
We're lost in the chaos she brings.
Broken, in the dreams we share.
Shattered, with no hope to hold on to.
Tainted, by the toxic air we breathe in.
Destroyed, by the darkness we created.
Afraid, to say what's on our minds.
Lost, with no home to go back to.
Fated, to be broken, lost and shattered.
Numb, to the world around us.
Our souls are bound.
Searching, looking, trembling.
Terrified of the truth behind it all.
Scared of the reason why.
