Wanted
I don't want to be wanted for my body. I don't want to be lusted for because of my features.
I want to be wanted for my laugh. I wheeze as if I cant catch my breath. It is so loud and obnoxious, I know.
I want you to find my cackle daunting.
I want to be wanted for my cries. My face gets red. My nose tingles. If panicked enough, I will hyperventilate.
I am going to want you to remind me to breathe.
I want to be wanted for my frustration. Warning, I will curse and slam doors. I want you to cling to me. I want you to help me.
I want to be wanted for how many dressers I have. There are three drawers just for bras. Laugh at this. Love me for it.
Want me because I rub my thumb nail against my pointer finger when I'm anxious. Take my hand and hold it. Clench it.
Want me to stop being anxious. Always want me happy.
When I am happy, want me for my smile. I will beam like a child. It will remind you of my innocence.
Want me for the little things that make me who I am.
I want to be wanted purely.
