Neigh
I stand ready, head down, and strong
The sunlight creeps through the cracks
I have been waiting all night with no sleep
I hear the doors fly open and I stand to attention
I stand patiently while my master puts the saddle on
We walk out of the stables
The morning is silent and cold as we make our way to the track
The dew on the grass reflects the light like crystals
My hooves push down the soft grass
Even the birds were asleep
I am ready for the race
He mounts me as we get in the gate
The scent of excitement penetrates my nostrils
The other horses are weaker than I am
I know we will win, I have trained to hard
The gates fly open and I bolt off
I run, head down, and strong
