Premature
Through the looking glass lays a precious little soul
Swaddled by machines, with a bubble as a home
Untouched by many, loved by all
Heart so big, but body so small
Tiny little baby just like a figurine
So delicate and fragile, but looks so serene
Locked away, from the public, hidden from the world,
Lays a darling little boy with eyes like shimmering pearls
Someday soon he'll be big and strong
That's when he'll be where he belongs
Sitting home with no more nurses or alarms
Cuddled with love in his mother's arms
