Divided
Together we sit, divided by a screen
We share our thoughts on life and what they mean
I see your tears and try to wipe them with no avail
I try to cheer you up but I always seem to fail
I feel with this barrier my voice is not clear
My words aren't coming through for you to truly hear
So you're left feeling alone and wondering why
While I try so hard keep those feelings nigh
But I'm losing you in the static, and connections are slow
I promise to hold on but I see you letting go
I try hard to save you but there's too much between
Now my hope and my love lay trapped on the screen
