Santa Monica Pier, 1988 MAG
  fries splattering sea-salt perfume
  into the waves of tourists
  chattering about this and that
smooth jazz & hip hop from the
  bearded-afro-man in the hawaiian
  tee blaring from his stereo
  green-blue skyline gathering like
sea foam at the horizon blurring with
the sunset into the malibu bay
  a cool breeze whistling against
the naked legs of girls with flower-crown
  hair and overpriced sunglasses
  the air burning electric
  from the smell of formaldehyde
  dusk crawling into view
  the LED ferris wheel
  lit up like stars against
  a blue-black night &
  the laughter of tourists
  bubbling against an ivory moon
  the curvature of their smiles
  reminiscent of a song
