One Little Flower
One little flower,
Alone in a barren wasteland,
Bravely swaying in the breeze.
It knows that at any moment,
Something could come along,
And rip it to shreds.
It doesn't care.
It just stands there,
Surveying the cold, bleak landscape,
And waiting.
Just waiting.
For something better to come along.
Suddenly,
Without warning,
A stray bullet comes out of nowhere,
And tears the flower up by it's roots.
The flower blacks out.
One little flower,
Perished alone in a barren wasteland,
A symbol of hope to all.
