Imposter
I am still singing
Singing the song everyone wants me to sing
I am still playing the part
Everyone else want me to play
I’ve forgotten who I really am
Lost the girl who danced
Like no one was watching
Who wore sparkles
And spoke her mind
Because she didn’t care
What others thought
But such is the world we live in
We are so concerned with fitting in
We lose pieces of ourselves
In the meantime
Our mind are are so restricted by society
Till we become the mindless drones
We’ve come to despise
But such is life
We don’t realize its happening
Till it's too late
Most of us that is
Me included
Now,
I’m just trying to find myself
And even I don’t know how to do that
Not yet anyways
Right now I’m an imposter in my own shoes
And nothing great has come of it
