Five Feverishly rushing,
Scampering and hopping over broken tree limbs.
Predators surround,
the weight of their claws tap against the ground.
Predators stalk the prey.

Four piercing cracks,
my skin and bones began to quake.
Running is stealing my power,
but here I am saved.
Predators meet the prey.

Three heart crushing roars silence the wind.
Long claws, eyes that gleam with red,
my view is blocked,
One glance, death is covering the clouds.
Predators are now the prey.

Two seconds, the chase begins,
not soon before prey finds its fate.
Our attacker has met his match in a gruesome way,
my fellow long tailed friends stare in horror.
Predators are now the prey.

One monstrous boulder glides through the air,
surrounded by a bright light.
Just as I thought I was safe,
the earth begins to shake.
Predators are now the prey.

Friends and foes stare on blankly in confusion,
eyes fogged by the smoke circulating through the air.
Running commences, herds are joined.
There was nowhere to run when the crash hit.
Predators and prey all fall the same.
