A buffalo hunting experience
A young Indian brave sits cross-legged in the sand.

His father approaches him and asks if he wants to be a man.
The father says the buffalo are running wild across the wide open plains.

The young brave readily agrees, knowing his time has come to be a man.
A fire burns deep inside as he dreams of becoming a successful hunter.
Three deep breaths, eyes closed. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. He knows he is ready.

The hunters set out on horseback, trampling the tall prairie grass.
The hunters ride fast and hard, leaving fiery trails behind them as they approach the buffalo.
The young brave hefts his spear, readying it in hand, connecting with it to take his shot.
They spot the buffalo on the horizon, barely specks in the great plains, steadily getting closer.

Chaos.
The buffalo herd erupts into panic.
The Indians run through the herd, targeting the weak.
The young brave spots his quarry - a separated calf.
Hurling his heavy spear from horseback, he connects with his target.

The hunt ends as quickly as it started.
The buffalo disperse like the leaves in fall.
The hunters gather, appraising their days work.
The young brave sinks to his knees upon seeing his accomplishment.

He feels a hand on his shoulder, and looks up to see his father.
His father is sweating, tired and smiling, and the brave feels a deep sense of accomplishment.
He has done what he set out to do, and knows he can return home as a victor.

He rides back home, lengthy, black hair whipping in the wind.
He carries with him buffalo hides, meat, and the pride of being a man.

He sits down, a young Indian man sitting cross-legged in the sand.
