Underage Drinking
Poem #1
Flashing lights and deafening music
Not fun enough yet
Conversing with friends from class
Not “cool” enough yet
Gardetto's and Dr. Pepper
Thirst is not fulfilled yet
Swig of liquid in the flash
This is fun now
Stumbling over passed out buddies
This is “cool” now
Gardetto’s and Captain Morgan
Thirst is fulfilled
Head ache from the lights and music
Is this fun?
Puking on my prone companions
Is this “cool”?
Sweating like the bottle in my hand
Is this fulfilling?
Poem #2 : Haikus
Is there consequence
Plead and pardon the habit
If you booze, you lose
Condemned to partake
They still do it anyways
Those who don’t are safe
Pressured peers cave in
Parties go on like a war
Think of the long run
Long run is ruined
Those ones are no longer safe
The boozers are lost
Poem #3
Confused faces become passive looks
Like coming to terms with a failure
Bodies limp with the stale aroma surrounding
Scuffle out without a trace
They know, yet know one knows
Who knows? We know
Not a secret as it once was
Exchanging, like a note, not knowing who noticed
Twas something that was said would come soon enough
Soon enough became too soon
Irresponsibility comes from within the bottle
Irreverence is what comes out of it
Trustworthiness is lost after a sip
A taste of irresponsibility is all it took
Slurping, fainting, grumbling, and falling
Feelings that shouldn’t be, but are all too familiar

This is a collection of 3 poems I wrote on how I don't condone underage consumption of alcohol.
