Song of the Angels

As the angels look down from Heaven above,
They see the Savior, as peaceful as a dove
As the people come from far and near
To see the child who brought them here

Up above on angels wings
They look down upon our newborn king
The one sent to save us all
Who continues to rest, eyes so small

As they look down upon this wonderful place
They can see the look of peace upon his face
As Mary looks down upon her child,
She is overcome with tears and a smile

The angels can hear the child’s small cries
As they look down into his eyes
They are unaware of the most important truth,
He will die for me and you

The child given for love and peace,
Who has brought people from west to east
To see the savior of all nations,
He who brings us eternal salvation

He is the one who will love us forevermore,
And bring us all to Heaven’s door
Forever and always his love will remain
As he takes away our sins and pain

Up above on angels’ wings,
Forever and always they will sing,
“Glory to the newborn King!”
