Not Your Intention
Scars dance like starlight upon moonbeam skin
And flash like silver-fish in in the dark deep water
Dimples radiate along the suple curves of my figure
Skipping, dancing, whirling patterns, trace each dent within flesh
Like little bugs skimming on the water’s surface of my body
Purple veins caress my bones
like the tender embrace of creeping vines
Snaking around my curves and edges
tickling me with their bloody kisses
My heart beats with the silken flash of a butterfly’s wings
A swallow chases the butterfly for its dinner
As I am chased by unrealistic expectations
from society
