Growth
The caterpillar once was young
Alone and lost in a world of beasts
Innocent she was, but fearless she’ll become
Or a free spirit at least
Her wall was sealed
But growing inside, she was
Given time to flourish and heal
Her problems began to fall like dust
When the time was right
An optimistic future in sight
Skies no longer gray
Out she went to seize the day

This poem could be read at a valedictorian speech because it describes how people grow up and move on to bigger and better things. I hope people can read my poem and get hope for their future if times are currently rough.
