Anticipation
Because I forgot to buy a gift
A gift was given to me
My parents held the pretty wrapped box
They had bought it just for thee
I then put away my other gifts
We hastily sat- my anticipation grew
I waited patiently to be given my present
Since I wasn’t given any preview
I began to open the box
And let out a sigh of despair
When I saw the little avocado
Sitting right there
Now I hadn’t anticipated much
I didn’t want to complain
So I quickly told my parents
“It’s an avocado... thanks”

this piece is inspired by a popular, clean vine that a lot of teenagers like to watch and laugh to called "it's an avocado...thanks".
