What Will Happen?
You planted me a tree
And it was beautiful
I bathed in its wonder each day
But what happens, tell me
When the leaves dry up come autumn?
When they fall from branch to ground?
What happens when the fruit stops growing?
When it's bountiful harvest is gone?
What happens when the tree gets tired
And withers to a twig?
What happens to us, to all that we are,
To all that we could've been?
