Time Flies By

  I tried to catch Time
but like a butterfly, it fluttered away
so I sat in the dimming sunlight
and watched it fade to grey
For Time slipped through my fingers,
  and began to fly around
  It flew past my nursery
and landed on caps and gowns
  It blew past the university
and though the church, it zipped
  It landed on the veil
  then suddenly, Time tripped
  Time showed me the unfamiliar
sounds of “Im sorry for your loss”
Then Time showed the final resting place
  and suddenly, time stopped.
