Stages Of Night
Night comes with the painting of the sky
In shiny black ink as the world turns by.
A painter, so delicate with her ink and brush,
Turns over the day, into a cloudless dusk.
A merchant comes with his sprinkle of stars
Leaving them just out of reach, so close yet so far.
He adds a shimmer to the dark of night,
Paving the way for mornings untimely plight.
Lastly the baker with her frosting of red,
Gives the morning sky it's daily spread
frosting of many colors let's morning take flight,
Giving the sky color that fades away night.
