Red As Fire
My dearest Anastasia Romanov
I watched your hair tumble down your back
Red as the fire that lead to your demise
I remember tracing your gentle curves
With the tips of my fingers
Whispering your name as I fell asleep
Knowing that I could tell nobody
I remember our trips to the forest
Where they found your bones
Our clothes lost in the trees
Our bodies turning over the leaves
My dearest Anya
I’ll always remember you
