The World Was Silent While They Died
The rest of the world
made sure their dresses
matched with their shoes,
while they made sure their
sisters head matched with
her body.
The rest of the world
ran when forced
while they ran,
with gunshots in the air.
The rest of the world
cried to Still Alice
while they cried
to their son being
shot in the back.
The rest of the world
was quiet,
silent,
while they died,
Day by day.
One by
one.
