Daily routine
Daily Routine
Wake up. Wipe the tears and act like the nightmares do not exist.
Stand in the shower and remember that self medicating does not involve a razor.
Get out the shower and go back to your room.
Do not look in the mirror, your body is not something to look at, the scars are hideous.
Even though it is hot outside put on a long sleeve or a jacket. No one wants to see your scars.
Stand in the mirror and look. Do not let the tears fall there is not enough time, throw on a smile or a smirk. Conceal don’t feel.
Get on the school bus and put in your headphones. Music will drown out the voices.
Go to class and smile. Laugh a little, maybe throw a joke in here and there. Give people no reason to worry.
Always remember that everyone likes to say they care but they never do.
Its 2:00 pm time to go home.
You’re home. Don’t go in the pantry you don’t deserve to eat.
Go upstairs and take your meds.
Remember no matter what the voices say, self medicating does not involve a razor.
Get in bed and sleep before the thoughts get worse.
Wake up before your mom gets home she worries when you sleep for long,
Eat a little dinner in front of her, make up a story about your day.
Avoid staying in her room for too long you don’t want to snap.
Go to your room but don’t bother checking your phone. No one texted you.
You’ll start to cry once you realize you’re alone, no one is here.
The voices will laugh and encourage you to end it, but you won’t.
Go to sleep. Turn it off.
Its 6:00 am. Wake up.
