The General
Oh here thy cry
The war has concluded
The opposing team gone in envy
The general glares into my eyes
His mind deluded
Yet his efforts have been plenty.
Oh here thy wind
From a summer night
The general salutes his men
With an absolute grin
He vanished from sight
Never to be seen again
And yet his memory continues
To inhabit all of our minds
His command remains valiant
His funeral was unanticipated
For victory we thought would survive
His effort greatly lent
