I run around behind my mask
Too afraid to show who I am
What if I'm too different
Would they still love me then

I'm scared like a child
So I pretend and play a part
I become someone,anything that I'm not
I've perfected my pathetic cowerdice to an art

Everyone hides but some hide more than others. They cloak who they really are because they fear rejection. This is a poem that embodies that.
