Thunderstorm

Blades of grass tickle;
A piece of the sky drizzles;
A bang echoes near.
Extending away,
As I lie beneath the sky:
Light, intense and bright.
Birds shelter in trees;
The dog whimpers quietly;
Small eyes open wide.
A whisper of sound:
Hushed patter on roofs of homes.
Vivid colors bloom.
Clouds drift quickly by.
The worms surface from the earth,
Under faint rainbows.
