I'm not on this planet to please you - i'm here to please myself.

My childhood friend
A young girl in a blue dress
Why are you so sad?

I used to know you
Now the tears stain your damp cheeks
and so you have changed

Haunt my memories
since the last time we played here
How you have changed so

I was your sweet age
a young girl in a blue dress
So different from you

Old man in his suit
Dusty man in the shadows
The one with no face

What could I have done
Old man in the strange shadows
the one with no face

Is she dead old man
Is she hanging by a noose
her legs swinging slow?

Her dress is bloodied
now red stains her precious face
Dusty man so cold

The author's comments:
Series of haiku's semi-based on childhood memories, and partially fiction.
