Forgotten
They see me with their eyes, but no one knows my heart.
They say they want to help, but they don’t know how to start.
They say they understand, but for that they are too smart.
I am forgotten.
I once was purest white, but now I’m shadowed gray.
I’ve been twisted about like a potter’s clay.
And in the wind I’m blown away.
I am forgotten.
I see no person in the mirror.
Nothing to love, nothing to fear.
And just like smoke, I disappear.
I am forgotten.
