Rain Falls
Rain cascading down
Bringing colors back to life
Autumn fills the air
“Oh what a delight.”
They exclaimed all together
Two brown-eyed, one gold
Their eyes matched the leaves
Falling ever so quietly
Dancing in the breeze
Within the window
A mirrored image appeared
Of the three young ones
Cousins people said
Sisters forever they said
A long lasting bond
A bond so strong willed
They’d say, “Good luck breaking it.”
No one could deny that
The rain picked up speed
Clouds thrashed against each other
Lightning hit the ground
This wasn’t scary
No. Instead wonder filled their minds
Wonder and beauty
As the last leaf fell
They vowed to never let go
Sisters they remain
