Mother Nature's Lullaby
The birds overhead
sing their sweet songs high above,
lulling me to sleep.
Flies buzz, ladybugs
crawling on my cool skin--
I stretch out my arms.
The fragrant scent of
dandelions relaxes
my languid body.
Lying in the grass,
breathing in Nature's nectar
dreaming of breakfast.
Waking up, I see
Dawn's rosy fingers touching
the shining, blue sky.
Kissed by the warm
sun, I smile, rub my eyes
and greet the new day.
