Don't Compare Us
Don't compare us
She might be smart
But even though I struggle with minus and plus
I too have a heart
You tell them how brilliant she is
You tell me to go sit down and wait
Don't compare us, please
It hurts and hurt soon will turn to hate
All you see is her
How happy she is, carefree
Mom, why can't we be the way we were
When you would also acknowledge me
It hurts to know
That you love her more
My spirit sinks, so low
Why can I have the love I had before
After she was born
I was just...there
It left me broken and torn
To know that all I have now is my teddy bear
