The Man Up The Road
The Old man that lives up the road
Is as ugly as a warty old toad.
But the tales he can tell,
When ya get to know him well,
Are confusing as cracking a code.
But he has a great heart.
Bringing to town on his cart,
Cookies for all to eat.
And in the dry summer heat
Everyone does there part.
We always take care of our friend.
Whatever he needs, we shall lend.
For he lives up the road,
Baking cookies by the load.
A token of friendship that can’t bend.
