Humuhumunukunukuapua'a Land
This is the story of a fish
 With a name so long
That if you write it out
It’s quite easy to get wrong.
When snorkeling in a little bay
 My gear wasn’t working right
 Water traveled up my nose
 Water was my only site.
A long journey I’d been on
To find a coral reef of tale.
But my journey seemed at an end
And the shore was a long way off to sail.
But then in my sight came a fish
 Famous in Hawaiian lands.
 Flicking a fin, a tail, a head
The fish was joined by little bands.
 Many fish swam around
My new friend at the center.
They showed me a more deep end
 In which I could enter.
 Their place I headed to
 And swam there very fast.
Water was clogging up my senses
 And filling up my mask.
 I cleaned my gear
 And with some avail
 That moment helped me
 To prevail.
 And being more alert,
A thought came to my mind.
The fish were leaving now quite quick
So I followed so to find
 The coral reef of tale
 In some way I’d prevail!
 I’d almost lose the fish,
But I had only to look around.
 Those rare Hawaiian fish
 Kept me safe and sound.
 We traveled on and on
Til we were finally at the reef.
When we finally made it there
 It was quite a relief.
 Many fish I saw
But alas, I was too late.
My gear was filling up again
 What unlucky fate.
 On the journey back
 To the shore of sand
 Whenever I felt lost
The fish would lend a hand.
I made it safe and sound
 To the shore at last.
Thanks to the fish I found
 A route quite fast.
 I’ll tell you right now,
This was really what I saw.
 It was the
