Longing for Love
It bites and tears
Until there's no more
Nothing left to break
Just ashes you can't restore
It eats and devours
Like only black holes do
Torturous and dreadful
I have felt this to be true
Have you ever been so alone?
So much you had to cry
Because it hurts so bad
Your hope being sucked dry
Have you ever looked across
The streets in the city
And saw what you wished for
Love and care to make you free
Bittersweet is the sight
If you've seen this dream
I'm believing it impossible
I'll never achieve it, it seems
So many other girls
Far more pretty than I
Have such a better chance
With jealousy I do cry
I want to be held
To be kissed with care
And not feel jealousy
Or taste bittersweet air
Who will come into my life
And be the one I know I want
Who will help me, hold me
And not laugh or taunt
Time must tell
But its a pain so fierce
The waiting is harder
Than forcing paper to pierce
