I Awake to Autumn MAG
I awake to the aroma of fresh apple pie, which makes me rise from my nightly lie.
I walk out into the autumn air, the wind blowing into my curly hair.
The outside world smells of pumpkin spice, and the faint coolness of winter ice.
The colored leaves are bright, filling the trees in a whirlwind of light.
I smile very wide, as I see the neighbor kids play the game in which you hide.
My cinnamon roll makes my mouth take
a bite, sending my taste buds soaring
like a kite.
As I make my way to the mall, I think how much I love the season of fall.

This is great!! Oh, I totally agree with you! I love the smell of fall- cinammon, pumpkins, and yes, that brief hint of winter! I really like your flowing, descriptive way of writing. If you have time, I would love it if you could check out some of my work.
