They gave it, their all for us
So we can still say this and thus
About what we deserve
But we didn’t serve
Like when they fought and died for us

With Veterans day approaching, I decided I should submit this one. Not that good, I think, but at least it is something for the vet who are alive- unlike my grandfather. Hopefully it will get accepted in time.

Thanks.  My mom never even knew my grandpa- he died when she was six week old when someone in his unit stepped on a land mine.

I love it, it doesn't matter how good it is in anybody's mind, it's the thought that counts. Especially to me when I have many relatives and friends who have fought for our freedom in any war throughout history. I'm sorry about your grandpa, I know what it is like to not have a grandparent growing up. Thanks again, and remember, don't worry what other people think, be yourself in everything you do.
