my barricade
i have locked my heart away,
'neith blocks of stone and chain,
i did my best, to not get hurt,
but still, it's all the same.
many have tried and failed to break,
the fortress in my soul,
but he came, broke it with ease,
and left a gaping hole.
now i'm here, with spackle and paint,
in hope to patch and mend,
but what i truly need,
is for you to be my friend.
