Thawed
For so long I have been frozen in limbo,
It started even before you began dating that bimbo.
I couldn’t be there with you,
Having to move made me sad and blue.
But now it’s time for me to thaw,
No longer am I going to fold or withdraw.
I look at the world with strength and power,
Hoping that if I think of you, it won’t make me sour.
There are so many stars in the night’s sky,
But for now I go solo as I fly.
It hurts to leave you in the past,
You could always make my heart beat so very fast.
But I need to let go,
Or else I won’t ever freely flow.
I use to say I’d love you forever,
But now I truly see that you will never.
So it’s time for me to move on,
The sun is beaming a bright new dawn.
I wish you the best in life,
One day you’ll find that loving wife.
As for me, I fight,
Living to make my world alright
