bird in a cage

they try to hold me down,
and tell me what to say,
but i'll become a bird,
and i'll only fly away.
they want me to be,
a puppet on a string,
a bird in a cage,
to make me sing.
i have no say,
they keep me caged,
then they laugh,
at my burning rage.
i try to fight back,
and streatch my wings,
but they tied me down,
to watch me sing.
they push me down,
when i try to stand up,
they didn't even care,
when my mouth stayed shut.
