Unravel Myself
If I possessed the raw power needed,

I would destroy every atom from my skin to my core,

If it could possibly make you love me more.

If I was as brave as I am inside my poems,

I would never stop speaking to the ghosts in my head,

Instead of hiding them away under my bed.

If I had the extra weight on my body, not all skin and bones,

I would make you realize that my waists thickness,

Even compared to yours, does not define lack of sickness.

If ever I long again to feel salt fill my lungs,

I will remember the taste of the oceans embrace,

But also compare it to the love for me on your face.

If you ever again doubt your own self worth,

I will be there on the raft I built for two,

With atoms and words and bones and love, for you.
